When you hire our services, we promise you will receive...
1. Close Personal Attention. We promise we will answer all of your questions, meet with you as often as you wish, and do everything possible to treat you the way we like to be treated when we’re the client.
2. Immediate Access. If we’re in the office and available when you call, we promise we will speak with you immediately. If we’re out of the office or with a client, we will return your call as soon as possible. We do not screen calls based on who pays the highest fees or who demands the most attention. You can depend on it.
3. Prompt Return Calls. We promise that we will make every effort to return your phone calls promptly. If we are tied up and can’t return your call, we’ll ask our legal assistant or secretary to call you and set a time for our telephone appointment.
4. Quick Response to Your Requests. Whenever you need something from our office, please don’t hesitate to call. If we’re not available at that moment, feel free to ask our legal assistant or secretary to help you. If they cannot fulfill your request, we’ll handle it for you as soon as we’re available.
5. Confidential Service. All legal services are performed by the lawyers and legal staff in our office. This allows us to keep your financial and legal matters strictly confidential. The lawyers provide services when in-depth legal knowledge is required. When appropriate, we rely on highly trained legal assistants or paralegals to provide routine services. This allows us to create an effective, comprehensive estate plan for you or provide our other legal services – and do everything we can to keep the costs reasonable and affordable.
6. Convenient Appointments. We promise to set appointments at a time and place that are convenient for you. If for some reason the location isn’t to your liking, we’ll be happy to come to your office or home, if you prefer.
7. Fair and Reasonable Fees. When you hire our services, you are not paying for a penthouse suite of offices or a huge support staff of secretaries and assistants. We keep close watch on our overhead and regularly monitor our fees to make sure they are fair and reasonable for both you and us. To keep costs affordable, we train and supervise legal assistants because we can bill their time at much lower rates than our lawyers’ time. The best lawyer-client relationship is when both you and we are happy. We promise to work with you to that end.
8. Time-Saving Telephone Conferences. We look for ways to help you save the time and expense of coming to our office. Speaking with you over the telephone is an efficient, effective way of getting answers to our questions. We have found that we can accomplish a lot on the phone without asking you to come to our office. Telephone conferences are part of our service and billed at our hourly rate.
9. Peace of Mind Meeting. After your death, your spouse’s death, or your business partner’s death, we will meet with the survivor and heirs. We will answer questions and explain what needs to be done to carry out your carefully designed estate plan in the shortest time at the most affordable cost. In this way, we help protect the interests of both the family and heirs.
10. Current Knowledge. We work hard to maintain the highest level of knowledge in the areas of law in which we practice. We eagerly attend continuing education classes, seminars and workshops so you benefit from the latest knowledge in our areas of law. In addition, John Mabley continues to present seminars to help less experienced attorneys through the Michigan State Bar’s Institute for Continuing Legal Education.
11. Competent Services. The seminars and workshops we attend allow us to provide you with the latest information, most effective techniques, and most efficient methods so you receive the full legal protection the law allows.
12. Value in Every Respect. Our goal is to make sure you feel that the value you receive from us is always greater than the fee you pay. So while we can’t guarantee our fees will always be the lowest, we can guarantee they will always be reasonable for the services we provide. We want you to receive more value from us than any other lawyers you know. And we’ll work hard to make sure you do.
13. More Than You Expect. If you think of some way we can provide you with better service, or better meet your needs, please tell us how. Even though we work together on your Asset Protection and Estate Plans or other legal matters, still, we’re not mind readers. If you have something troubling you -- or if you have a concern or a problem -- please discuss it with us. If we can help you, we will. And if we can’t help you, we may know someone who can. A good lawyer-client relationship deals with all types of problems, not just legal problems. So if something crosses your mind and you want our input, we’ll be happy to help.
